Prayers presented to God before eating are often expressed for our own needs and concerns, but how often do we acknowledge the unknown needs and concerns of those immediately around us? We can use the prayer time before eating a meal at a restaurant to let the people who serve us know that God loves them and desires to address their deepest needs and concerns. We, as servants of Christ, should let our servers know that we are concerned for their spiritual well-being.

For Christians, our ultimate mission is to bring glory and honor to God, our Almighty Creator. We have been called to minister not only to people on the other side of the world but also to those who live near us.
